Reflexology for Menopause
Reflexology for Menopause & Perimenopause
Menopause is a major shift in the body. The symptoms that come with it deserve to be taken seriously.
Hot flushes, broken sleep, mood changes, brain fog, joint pain, weight changes, anxiety. These are not minor inconveniences to work around. They are the body responding to a significant hormonal change — one that affects multiple systems at once.
Too often, women at this stage receive fragmented responses to what is a whole-body experience. Reflexology addresses that gap.
What Is Happening in the Body
As oestrogen and progesterone levels fall during perimenopause and menopause, the effects spread across the nervous, hormonal, digestive, and musculoskeletal systems. The hypothalamus — which controls body temperature, sleep, mood, and appetite — becomes particularly sensitive to these changes, which is why symptoms rarely appear in isolation.
Reflexology applies precise pressure to points on the feet that correspond to the hormone-producing glands: the hypothalamus, pituitary, thyroid, adrenals, and ovaries. The aim is to support the body's own ability to regulate, reduce symptom severity, and restore balance over time.

Reflexology is a complementary therapy. It does not replace medical care, and for some women HRT or other treatments remain the right primary option. Where it adds value is as consistent, structured support — working with the whole body rather than isolated symptoms.
What to Expect
The first session begins with a consultation covering current symptoms, health history, and goals.
Clients remain fully clothed, removing shoes and socks only.
An initial course of six sessions is recommended to build cumulative effect, followed by a review. Many clients continue with monthly sessions after that.
